The Look
Pin-ups and Hollywood glamour, fabulous photos and a style that created iconic images of pin-up girls and classic female stars. Who can deny the allure of Hedy Lamarr, Mae West, Carole Lombard or Bette Davis? They shaped our idea of beauty, femininity and the strength of the femme fatale. These strong women blazed trails, gave us heroes to look up to...AND, they inspired re-Belly-ous.
The Music
Rockabilly. It sucks you in and makes you tap your toes. This is the music of our parents, our childhood and those swinging pin-up baby dolls. Rockabilly pulls the audience in and bridges the gap between the known and the unknown, common yet not, familiar yet exotic. If you feel it, you should dance to it. And we do!
The Movement
Re-Belly-ous takes inspiration from the traditional and modern dances of a variety of cultures: India, Spain, Morocco, Egypt, Latin America and the Middle East.

Belly dance captivates our hearts, gives us sisters and consumes our lives. It contains all that we love: music, dance, art, creativity, sisterhood (and don't forget the shopping!). It drives the vocabulary of our movements and runs in our blood.
Belly dance is a lifelong study. We continually examine its roots and diversity. Through the re-Belly-ous style, we honor the dance’s origins. There is so much to learn, skills to improve upon and be inspired by. Only time, study and practice grant us the privilege of carrying on the belly dance tradition.
